Brewood and beyond.

We stopped over in Brewood for 2 nights, its a lovely little village.  We were here last year with our friend Jane, at pretty much the same time of year.   Caught up with our friends from NB Nel for lunch, always a lot of fun.  The weather is doing the right thing by us and staying dry and clear.    Very cold though in the shade.   Even though its still sunny I’m into gloves and bought a very stylish pair of ear muffs – multi purpose, they keep my ears warm and the hair out of my eyes.   Its cold enough to have the fire going by 4.00pm in the afternoon now.

We are now on the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal – a length of canal we haven’t done before.   Very pretty – but very narrow in parts.  Went past another fishing competition today, not as bad as the one on the weekend – which went for about 2 1/2 miles.  But still a lot of fishermen for mid week.  Etiquette dictates that you go past fishermen (and moored boats) at tick over (as slow as the boat can go).
