Wittle-le-Woods

Moved on a little way today and stopped at Botany Bay – for the Aussies out there I kid you not that it what the village/shopping centre was called.  No idea why – nowhere near a bay.  Had a wander around – its  converted mill now a shopping complex.   Lot’s of local artisan food in the complex, also at the market in Chorley.  We had a great cherry pie.   Local fruit and veg stalls as well.  It’s a really nice area.  We’re in Lancashire by the way.  We moved on from Botany Bay as we were going to go up the small flight of locks towards Blackburn, but as we got to the bottom it started to rain so we stopped.   A good thing too as the next two pounds were empty.  Went for a long walk and a beer instead.  The party boat is currently doof doofing it’s way past us and will turn round and head back in the next 10 minutes or so.  Maintaining our 2 mile per day travel average.
