Little Morton Hall

Another day of not travelling very far.  I think we only moved about 3 miles from yesterdays mooring.   We’d had a spot we were thinking of stopping at as there were a couple of things we were hoping to do.  We managed to get the very last mooring available.   As we got there in good time we had some lunch before we left to visit Little Morton Hall.   Public footpaths the whole way there from the canal.  I know it is a legal right of way over here, but it feels weird cutting through peoples farms and paddocks.

Little Morton Hall  is really cool.  Very gingerbread house   It’s a moated house which is now managed by the National Trust.   Click on the link if you would like more info.

When we got back to the boat we were all by ourselves, all the other boats had moved on.  We will stay the night here as we have a walk we wish to do and it is looking like being a cool day tomorrow.

Allegedly the fireplace and mantel are square, nothing around it is.
