Leek

We spent some time this morning washing the boat – well the roof at least, as everything was still off it after the tunnel.   It looks much better.  We will need to do the rest of the boat soon.   It was only a short travel day again today as we were going up the Leek arm of the canal.  We needed to get there for the shops as we had actually run out of food.

We stopped for a quick lunch at Cheddleton on the way.

The Leek arm is a dead end  and the winding hole is immediately after the bridge, then you back the rest of the way to where you wish to moor.   A bit of a challenge, and the mooring wasn’t quite long enough so we were a little bit diagonal to the bank.   But the boat in front left once they’d done their shopping so we straightened up and it wasn’t a problem.

Will spend some time in Leek tomorrow looking around.
