Stoke on Trent

We planned on finding a marina today as we have to leave the boat for a couple of days next week.   There were no marinas going through Stoke so I think we will go to the marina at Festival Park.   We weren’t planning on travelling far today at all, but neither of us were comfortable mooring in the town.   We passed yards and yards and yards of shiny mooring rings and kept on going till we were out of the town completely.

And we had our first boating disaster today.   An over zealous helper opened the paddle without watching the boat or the water.    The boat smashed into the lock gate – I had the boat in full reverse throttle to no avail.  And I’m sorry but no it is not a contact sport, and yes it was downright dangerous and stupid.
