Hawkesbury to Harts Hill

Called in to Nuneaton to do the laundry – life in the fast lane!  It happened to be Market Day in the town, so while the washing was being done we had a walk around the town.  Nuneaton for those who may be interested was the home of George Eliot, author, SHE wrote Mill on the Floss that we all had to read at High School.  Can’t remember the book myself but I have been told by a reliable source that the book was about a mill ….. on the Floss – go figure!  Scenery was alternating between quarrys and woodlands on the way to Harts Hill.  Moored up at the Anchor Inn and about to test the quality of the beer.  All in all a quite day, Mum has been a bit off colour, so that is probably a good thing that it hasn’t been too strenous.

Tomorrow we start Atherstone flight.
